How to send money to another bank account

Once your Viva.com account is verified, you can send money from your Viva.com account to another bank account, subject to available transfer options, supported countries, and applicable fees.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A verified Viva.com account

  • Enough available balance for the transfer

  • The beneficiary's official account name

  • The beneficiary's bank account number

  • A transfer reason or description

Send money through web banking

  1. Sign in to your Viva.com account.

  2. From your account homepage, select Send Money.

  3. Select To Bank Account.


  4. Choose the Account to Charge. This is the account the transfer amount will be deducted from.

  5. Select the beneficiary account.
    If this is your first transfer to the beneficiary, select Add Beneficiary and enter:

    • The account number

    • The official beneficiary name

    • A friendly description to help you identify the beneficiary in the future

  6. Enter the transfer amount.

  7. Enter a transfer reason or description. This may appear on the recipient's account statement.

  8. Select Continue.

  9. Review the transfer details and any applicable fees.

  10. Select Confirm Transaction.

  11. You will receive a push notification on your enrolled mobile device. Select Authorise to approve the transfer.

Send money through the Viva.com app

  1. Open the Viva.com app.

  2. Select the payments option from the bottom navigation menu.

  3. Select Make a payment.

  4. Add a beneficiary or choose one from your saved list.

  5. Enter the amount.

  6. Review and confirm the transfer.

If you add a new beneficiary, the account will be saved for future transfers.

If you cannot add a beneficiary through the app, you can complete the process through your Viva.com account using a web browser. Follow the instructions here.

I cannot transfer funds to another bank account. What should I check?

Make sure that:

  • Your Viva.com account is verified.

  • You have enough available balance for the outgoing transfer.

  • The beneficiary account name is entered correctly.

  • The beneficiary account name matches the recipient's bank account name or legal entity name.

Use the beneficiary's official first and last name, or the full legal entity name. Entering an incorrect or incomplete name may delay or cancel the transfer.

How long does an outgoing bank transfer take?

Instant transfers are available only where supported by SEPA Instant payment schemes and eligible participating institutions.

Can I send money to foreign countries?

You can send money only to accounts within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and in euro (EUR).

What is a SEPA Instant transfer?

A SEPA Instant transfer is a euro bank transfer that can be completed within seconds, including outside standard banking hours, where supported.
