Contactless payments allow you to make purchases quickly and securely by simply tapping your card on a payment terminal.
Contactless payments with your physical Viva.com Debit Card
With your physical Viva.com Debit Card:
You can make contactless payments of up to €50 per transaction without entering your PIN.
You can make consecutive contactless payments without a PIN up to a cumulative limit of €150.
Once the cumulative contactless spending reaches €150, you will be asked to enter your PIN to complete the next transaction.
After a transaction is completed using your PIN, the cumulative €150 limit is reset.
Contactless payments with your digital Viva.com Card via Apple Pay or Google Pay
When you use your digital card through Apple Pay or Google Pay:
No PIN is required at the POS, regardless of the transaction amount.
The transaction is securely authenticated on your device using biometric verification (Face ID or fingerprint) or your device passcode, where applicable.
Note: In some online purchases, you may also be asked to enter your PIN or complete an additional verification step for security purposes.
