What is IRIS Payment via POS
IRIS payment via POS is a new way of accepting payments that allows professionals to receive money directly from their customer’s banking app, without the use of a card. The process is simple: the customer scans the QR code displayed on your POS terminal and completes the payment through their bank’s mobile banking app.
With this new feature, you can offer your customers a modern, secure, and instant payment method.
How IRIS Payment Works on the POS Terminal
The customer informs you that they wish to pay with IRIS.
From the POS, after entering the amount, tap the bottom-right button next to the card icon, where the active alternative payment methods you have available are displayed. Then select IRIS QR code.
A QR code with the transaction amount appears on the terminal screen.
The customer scans the QR code using their bank’s mobile banking app. To complete the payment, the customer’s mobile device must have an active internet connection.
Once the payment is completed, the POS receives confirmation and prints a receipt.
The transaction is completed instantly and securely.
Refunds are supported through the POS.

What You Need to Accept Payments via IRIS on your POS
To accept IRIS payments through Viva POS, you must have:
Compatible terminal:
Viva Terminal App (Android / iOS), Soft POS
Ciontek (CM30C/ CS30 PRO/ CS50C/ CS20), Sunmi (P2 LITE SE/ P2 SE/ P2 SMARTPAD)
PAX devices (A8900/ A35/ A80/ A910/ A920/ A50/ A77/ IM304G / IM20)
Prolin (S900/ D200/ S800/ Q30)

Registered business IBAN in the Register of Business Bank Accounts. You will need to visit the AADE website (Επαγγελματικός Λογαριασμός | ΑΑΔΕ) and declare the IBAN where you receive payments via IRIS.

Gradually from 25/11, your compatible terminals will automatically receive a software update that enables IRIS payments.
