What is SEPA Direct Debit?

SEPA Direct Debit (Core) is a service which enables you to set up Direct Debits in your viva.com account to pay obligations to organizations and companies.

Which organizations accept SEPA Direct Debit as a payment method?

This payment method is available in all SEPA region countries and for all organizations that support it. However, some exceptions could take place. In any case, you can contact the organisation you are interested in and find out if they support the SEPA Direct Debits service.

How can I activate SEPA Direct Debit (Core) on an organisation?

To activate the SEPA Direct Debit (Core) service, you need to contact the organisation or company and provide your viva.com account number, along with your consent to have your account debited every month.

How do Direct Debit payments appear in my account statement?

Payments made by the Direct Debit method will appear on your business account transactions with the SEPA Direct Debit transaction type.

Is there an extra charge for paying an organisation through SEPA Direct Debit?

No, this service is provided by viva.com to our customers at no extra charge. For any change that might occur in the pricing policy, you will be informed through our price list.


When the available account balance is not enough, what happens to the Direct Debit order I have provided to an organisation?

When your account’s available balance is not enough to pay the organisation, the Direct Debit order will not be completed.

How do I cancel a Direct Debit order I have provided to an organisation?

To deactivate the direct debit order, you need to contact the organisation or company in which you initially activated it.

Within 8 weeks you have the right to request cancellation of the order and refund from the organisation and within 13 months to resort to a dispute of a charge, which you do not recognize.
