What is Interchange ++?

Pricing

Following the provisions of EC Regulation 751/2015 and the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), Viva.com uses a transparent Interchange++ pricing model for card acquiring services. This pricing model provides transparency by showing the different components that make up the total processing fee.

Your total fee consists of three parts:

Fee component

What it means

Interchange

The fee set by the card issuer (the bank that issued the customer's card).

First "+" – Payment scheme costs

Fees charged by the card scheme (such as Visa or Mastercard). These fees are typically lower than interchange fees. For e-commerce and MOTO transactions, they generally range from 0.15% to 0.65%.

Second "+" – Viva.com service fee

Viva.com's fee for providing card acquiring services. This fee varies depending on factors such as your business activity, country of residence, and your company's total payment card turnover.

Interchange fees in the European Union

For debit cards issued by European card issuers, interchange fees are generally 0.2% for most processed transactions.

Depending on the type of card and transaction, interchange fees may be higher and can reach up to 2%.
