BLIK: Quick & safe payments

BLIK is a convenient, mobile phone-based payment method that allows the customer to quickly generate a code via their banking app, which can then be used to make a payment.

  • Popularity: BLIK is the most popular payment method in Poland, with a 60% market share of all e-commerce payments

  • Speed and ease of use: Customers can quickly and easily generate a payment code via the app

  • Security: Customers do not use a card, customers do not log in to their Bank, and customers confirm every payment in their banking app

  • Get started quickly: There is no need for the merchant to have an account with BLIK

How it works

Steps:

  1. At the checkout page, the customer chooses BLIK as their preferred payment method before being directed to a BLIK payment screen:

  2. The customer generates a BLIK code within the app of their bank account:

  3. The customer enters their app-generated BLIK code within the BLIK payment screen before completing the payment:

  • Merchant's account: Merchants do not need to have an account with BLIK.

  • Payment method type: Asynchronous - payments are not confirmed immediately, it may take up to 55 seconds to receive confirmation of payment. You need to set up webhooks in order to get notified for asynchronous payments

  • Refunds: Supports partial and full refunds

  • Recurring payments: Not yet supported

  • Pre-authorizations: Not yet supported

  • 0% Cashback: Not supported

  • MOTO: Not supported

  • Cancellation: Supports cancellation

  • Disputes: Not supported

  • DCC: Not supported

  • Surcharge: Not supported

  • Tipping: Not supported

  • Installments: Not supported

  • Tokenization: No

  • Μerchant countries: Available for merchants registered in Poland only

  • Customer countries: Available to customers in Poland only

  • Pricing: Please refer to our pricing page under the main navigation for more information

  • Settlement: Customer payments are deposited next day into your business account for confirmed payments / successful transactions (i.e. have statusId = F)

  • Cross-currency payments: Not yet supported

  • Additional notes: The Email address and Customer Name fields within Smart Checkout are optional
