Verification Process – How can I verify my account?

Once you complete the registration of your business account, the system will notify you about the required "Verification" of your details. To perform any transactions, your account must first be verified.

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. Select from the Menu, Settings, and Profile.

  3. Choose the "Verify" option to begin the process.

You will then need to verify the identity of the legal representative or the authorized account administrator through the Remote Identity Verification Process.

For customers in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Sweden, the process will first involve entering personal credentials to collect their details from the respective registries.

If any additional action is required from your side, we will contact you via email with clear instructions.


Why do you need to complete the verification?

According to the current legislation, Viva Payments, as well as all financial institutions, are obliged to keep their customers' data up to date in order to ensure their accuracy and completeness.

In this context, remote electronic identification/updating is required, which is mandatory and is carried out through authentication and identity verification, as well as by uploading documents where required.


I have completed the verification process, but my account is still “pending”.

  1. Check if you have received any messages from Viva.com (e-mail, spam, SMS)

  2. Ensure that your details are in the local registries.

  3. If you have checked the above and everything is as required, don't hesitate to contact Viva.com for further assistance.


How long does the identification process take?

The identification process can take only a few minutes, and soon you will have a fully functional account ready to start receiving payments.


Is it possible that you will ask me for my viva.com account identification documents again in the future?

In this case, if necessary, you will be notified immediately of the documents you need to upload and clear instructions on the process via:

  • email to your registration email

  • a notification on the home screen of your viva.com account

  • SMS/viber ή Push Notification on your registration mobile phone

I received a notification that my business account needs verification. What should I do?

Upon completion of the registration and activation of your business account, the system will inform you about the required "Identification" of your data. In order to be able to make any transaction, your account must first be identified.

To Identify your business account, follow the steps below:

  1. On the home page of your account, the "Identify" option appears.

  2. Next, you will need to enter your personal taxis codes

  3. Next, you will need to verify the identity of the legal representative or authorized account administrator.

If you already have a viva.com account, you will receive a notification in your registration email as well as Viber (GR only)/SMS or Push Notification on your registration mobile phone, which will inform you of the need to update your details.
